The Stack is back on this Wednesday and we don’t have much to talk about today.  It will be a short one so let’s get right to it and see what is in this mini sandwich-esque “the stack” for today, Wednesday, December 21st:

Pro Bowl rosters announced

Yeah, yeah, yeah.  Who cares, the Pro Bowl rosters were announced Tuesday night and the game is played in Orlando so it’s not that big of a deal.  Hey though, there might be dodgeball.  As it is, the NFL announced he gets a trip to Orlando and who is a pro bowl players this year.  The Oakland Raiders led the way with seven players.  Atlanta had six.  Dak Prescott and Ezekiel Elliott to no one’s surprise also made the list.  The NFL is going back to the AFC-NFC format this year.  We’ll see if that does anything to the game.  Reportedly a skills competition that includes a dodgeball game will take place so that’s nice.  No one much cares for the Pro Bowl, especially Cincinnati Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert.  Good thing he doesn’t have to go this year.  We’ll see just how many of the players named on Tuesday go to this game.

Craig Sager memorial

Did not mention last week the sad news out of the basketball world that Turner Sports reporter Craig Sager passed away after a long battle with cancer at the age of 65.  At his memorial on Tuesday, folks remembered him for his colorful suits, but also his tremendous personality.  His battle with cancer was very courageous and commendable.  The NBA is and will not be the same without you Craig Sager.  RIP.

BYU vs. Wyoming (San Diego County Credit Union Poinsettia Bowl) 9 PM ET ESPN

Congrats by the way to Western Kentucky who despite losing their head coach had a tremendous offensive output against Memphis and beat the Tigers 51-31 to win the Boca Raton Bowl last night.  This game figures to not have that many points.  BYU’s offense is struggling.  Wyoming’s defense isn’t that great, but they can score.  Like yesterday, I’m flip-flopping back and forth between these two teams.  Leaning Wyoming right now, but that can change by kickoff.

Pick and confidence points: Wyoming (for now) mid to high single digit points (8-10)
